SA Australian Organics and Recycling Association (AORA) will be presenting a seminar and site tour in the Barossa Valley on Thursday, April 26.
The seminar, targeted at winegrowers, will demonstrate what is possible with good organics management in the vineyard in lifting yields and improved consistency. The latest soil monitoring and application techniques will also be presented.
Presenters Michael Eyres and Ed Scott of Field Systems Australia and Oli Madgett of Platfarm will explain compost application and demonstrate their application at Torbreck Vineyard using recent soil mapping and other technology.
Torbreck Vintners viticulturist Nigel Blieschke will conduct a site tour showing the benefits achieved by applying compost and the techniques used to monitor soil health.
