The short answer is – very badly. In the inaugural South Australian Wine Industry (SAWIA) 2017 snapshot the Riverland was underrepresented with only three respondents. The 2018 survey is now open so we have an opportunity to do a lot better this year.
The survey is a collaboration between SAWIA and Bentleys SA, a full service advisory firm that helps ambitious enterprises get where they want to be. It provides a clear snapshot of the status of South Australia’s wine industry and a baseline for wine businesses to benchmark their performance and inform their business decisions.
The survey will also identify the obstacles and roadblocks facing your business, while providing valuable insight into the strategies, programs and services needed for the future growth and profitability of the South Australian wine industry. This year’s survey includes a focus on identifying region specific concerns – another good reason for the Riverland to be well represented. It will also help SAWIA to fine tune important messaging to the new State Government.
In addition to the snapshot report, Bentleys will provide a personalised report, comparing your business to others.
We encourage all winemaker members to ask their Business Managers to complete the survey.
The survey will be available until June 12, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact Craig MacDonald of SAWIA on 8222 9277 or email.
