In the heart of the beautiful Riverland
Having offered accommodation at Pike River for 15 years we know that our guests love this spectacular part of the Riverland region. With panoramic views over the Pike and Murray rivers and the expansive Lyrup Flats and National Park it is a sight that is impossible to tire of.
The Riverland Wine Centre deck allows you to view this great expanse and beckons you to see and experience more – so much more!
The Riverland has witnessed a reinvigoration in the last few years and we are excited to be able to send you on a Riverland journey to share in the region’s offerings with some of our great Riverland tourism friends. Just be prepared to plan another trip as you won’t be able to see it all in just a short visit!
Our aim with our wines is to showcase great grapes matched with great winemaking skills. Joining Bruce and Val’s grapes with Eric and Jenny’s skills enables us to showcase Riverland Wine without the worry of getting it right!
We are now excitedly looking each year at the alternate varieties on offer – the grapes that suit our region’s climate. The 2020 harvest has produced smaller quantities of available choices so we have concentrated on a new Fiano for this year as we are close to running out of our very popular 2018 Fiano.
We are already in discussions with Bruce and Val, planning our choices for the next vintage and we’re very excited!

The Riverland is the largest wine producing region in Australia, and is home to almost 1,000 winegrape growers representing 20,600 hectares of vines.
The Riverland has always been recognised for great production rates and it is now being recognised and highlighted for the quality of its wines from both the large and boutique winemakers.
The exciting transition for many of our boutique winemakers has been the move to the alternate varieties being introduced to suit our ideal Mediterranean climate.
The Riverland is the ‘engine room’ of the Australian Wine Industry and it’s exciting for us to be able to showcase a tantalising portion of our region’s quality offerings.
