Trellising
Installing a trellis is a very expensive business and doing a sub-standard job will lead to many years of high maintenance costs and extra work that no-one really needs. There are long term concerns about the growing number of copper chromium arsenate (CCA) posts being stockpiled once removed from vineyards after breakage. Burning treated posts, whether they contain CCA or creosote is environmentally damaging and therefore illegal. It makes sense to investigate more sustainable options, either for vineyard development or redevelopment. It also makes sense to consider the best trellis type for the crop load and fruit quality that you are attempting to produce. Looking over the fence for inspiration may not be the best option.
