Wine producers, winegrape growers and transporters of grapes and bottled wine are required to comply with the Chain of Responsibility requirements under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.
An industry roundtable will be held on Thursday, October 24 at the Swan Reach Hall, from 9am – 12pm.
Jointly organised by the South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA), Wine Grape Council of SA (WGCSA) and the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) with the support of Riverland Wine and the Barossa Grape and Wine Association the discussion will focus on learnings and observations from the 2019 vintage in relation to the Chain of Responsibility requirements.
The NHVR and South Australian Police will present issues relating to load restraint and spillage, Chain of Responsibility investigations process and safety on the road and practical solutions and measures.
