Earlier this week Federal Ministers Kelly O’Dwyer and Anne Ruston released details of a $10M Wine Tourism and Cellar Door Grant program.
Wine producers are being invited to actively consult with the Federal Government to ensure region’s derive long-term benefit from this program.
“The Government wants to support producers who add value and contribute to their communities by encouraging visitors to wine regions,” said Kelly O’Dwyer, Minister for Revenue and Financial Services.
Senator Anne Ruston, Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, and Minister O’Dwyer have called on producers to have their say on the program with the release of a consultation paper to inform the delivery of the grants.
Read all about it in the WFA media release and get your thinking caps on. The fact that Minister Ruston’s office is right here in our region will not necessarily mean the Riverland will receive any advantage but we should take advantage of the fact that Anne and her staff are accessible and always prepared to listen and encourage anyone in the region with ideas and suggestions as to how we can make it not merely Australia’s most popular wine region but the best known!
