There is any number of innovative Riverland bright ideas that enable winegrowers to be smart, efficient growers. If you have surprised yourself or someone else with your own brilliance have a crack at this award.
WGCSA are inviting entries from South Australian winegrape producers who have developed new ideas that improve vineyard production for the 2016 Vinnovation Award.
The award, sponsored by PIRSA, includes a cash prize of $2,500. The winner of the 2015 award, which was trialled in 2015, was a bin trailer with built-in scales and an automatic readout, ensuring high accuracy of bin weights and reducing handling and the risk of overloading.
The Vinnovation Award aims to promote the sharing of new ideas, practices and equipment to enhance vineyard production.
Entry is free and is open to anybody directly working in wine grape production in SA. Applications are open until Sunday, May 15 and the winner will be announced at the 2016 Winegrape Growers Summit on Friday June 16.
More information and entry forms are available on the WGCSA website or by contacting Peter Hackworth 8351 4378.
