Competition law is confusing and frustrating. We often hear terms such as unconscionable conduct or misuse of market power but don’t understand what they really mean and whether they work for us or against us.
ACCC deputy chair Michael Schaper and Commissioner Mick Keogh are convening a special workshop for horticulturists and viticulturists at the Murray Bridge racing club, 2A Maurice Road, Murray Bridge on Monday, July 18, 2016, commencing at 11:30 AM. This will be an opportunity to have your voice heard and to ask questions about competition and fair trading issues that concern you. Information will also be provided about the protections contained in the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) that affect farmers.
If you wish to attend, it’s important to register using the ACCC’s website. More information about the workshop, including an agenda, will be made available on the ACCC website. If you have any questions or would like further information please contact Mark Laybutt of the ACCs agriculture unit on (02) 6243 1280 or email AgricultureWorkshops@accc.com.au
