On Thursday this week a taskforce, from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet will brief local organisations and others about the forthcoming White Paper to be prepared by the federal government on the competitiveness of the Australian Agriculture Sector.
When Minister Barnaby Joyce met with Riverland Wine in February he urged us to make a response to the issues confronting us including food security, improving farmgate returns, gaining access to finance, increased competitiveness, survival of regional communities, reducing input costs, removing ineffective regulations enhancing agricultural exports, and evaluating incentives for investment and job creation.
Riverland Wine will be attending the briefing session and making a submission that will be published in due course. If you have a point of view, please contact email@example.com. You may read the issues paper here.
