As part of the $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package, Wine Australia is developing wine export and wine tourism capability programs.
After conducting a gap analysis of existing wine export and wine tourism capability, Wine Australia is now developing training programs. Using information gained from the gap analysis, the programs will be designed to meet the needs of a range of businesses, from those who have some export-ready/tourism-ready characteristics through to those who have high awareness of their opportunities.
The two programs will include the following topics:
Wine Export Capability Program:
- preparedness to export
- capability to enter a market
- capability to penetrate a market
Wine Tourism Capability Program
- skills in product development
- business capacity and capability to deliver experiences
- marketing knowledge and skills
Wine Australia will be delivering regional face-to-face workshops and all program materials will be developed with future online publication in mind.
Work on developing the wine export capability program will start in April 2018 followed by the wine tourism capability program in May.
