Regular readers may have noted in their diaries last week to attend Riverland Wine Members Meetings on November 19 and 20.
Please note those dates have been moved out to Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7.
The venue has been confirmed as has been the agenda and guest speakers. The meetings will both take place in the Fortified Wines Barrel-Hall at Accolades’ Berri Estate winery. Members will have a choice of a late afternoon meeting with BBQ and wine tasting on Thursday 6 or an early morning egg and bacon breakfast (with coffee and orange juice) on Friday 7.
Guest speakers will include:
- Senior manager from Accolade Wines to provide some insights into the new bottling facility presently under construction and due to be operational early in the new year;
- Tony Battaglene, CEO of WFA (at present) discussing industry unity, outlook and key policy positions;
- Professor Seth Westra from the University of Adelaide to discuss the Remote Sensing Trials being conducted in collaboration with Riverland Wine and Wine Australia;
- Jim Caddy to present observations and analysis of Riverland wine markets and inviting members to participate in a discussion around likely 2019 grape and wine prices.
More details will be provided and advertised in the local papers in coming weeks.
