The Riverland wine industry has recognised another quiet achiever in awarding the 2017 JMA Engineering ‘Riverland Wine Industry Person of the Year’ trophy to Paul Kernich of Angove Family Winemakers.
Company Director Richard Angove said, “Paul is a quiet achiever with a fine palate and an attention to detail rarely seen. His contribution to the ongoing evolution of Angove winemaking quality, style and craft has been significant. This is a very well-deserved accolade for Paul, reflecting his hard work, winemaking skill and commitment to making the best wines possible from across South Australia. Well Done Paul.”
Riverland Wine Show Chair Chris Byrne commented, “Paul has been one of the stalwarts of the volunteer Wine Show Committee for many years, always prepared to contribute over and above what’s normally expected from committee members. The region is indeed fortunate to have Paul as one of our winemaking champions but also to have someone as committed to the region and passionate about lifting the value of inland region wines.”
Congratulations Paul and well done to the committee of champion volunteers who produce one of Australia’s best regional wine shows, year after year… 45 in fact!
