Summer Competition Starts Today! 
Destination Riverland (DR) has launched its summer campaign competition ‘Share Your Riverland Summer’.

Entrants are asked to share what summer in the Riverland means to them with a photo or video using the #myriverland via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The winning video and photo respectively will each win a GoPro camera valued at approximately $500.

Destination Riverland General Manager, Caroline Phillips, said “The competition is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to share what it is that makes the Riverland so fantastic in summer”.

“The Riverland is such a busy place during the warmer months we want to maintain that mantle as a premium summer destination in South Australia” Caroline said. “It’s also about creating that local pride, and encouraging locals to share the beauty that they have in their own backyard”.

The competition follows a similar competition held by DR in 2013 that was hugely successful and saw over 1600 entries into the competition. “We had such a great response last time we ran a similar competition and this time people can upload videos as well as photos” Caroline said. ”Whether its water sports on the Murray, camping, enjoying local produce or simply out enjoying the Riverland environment, we want to see what it is that people love about the Riverland in summer”.

In addition to winning a GoPro camera the winning image will feature on front page of the Riverland Experiences magazine in 2017. Entries for the ‘Share Your Riverland Summer’ are open until February 12.

A public vote, between February 15 and 26 on all images and videos will decide the winner of the major prize.

The winners will be announced officially on February 29.
