The South Australian wine industry has faced some challenging situations in recent times. Help navigating support options is available through the Family and Business Support (FaBS) Program.
A FaBS mentor can help South Australian producers, their families and businesses navigate the support options available.
Mentors understand and are experienced in dealing with the issues that can arise from challenging periods. They will listen and help you find ways to manage and liaise with service providers and support services that are available including:
- financial counselling
- local health networks
- emotional wellbeing and counselling services
- government and non-government assistance
- community organisations and donations.
FaBS mentors are independent and provide an informal and understanding platform for producers and businesses. The program is open to anyone working in the South Australian wine industry, including:
- primary producers and their families
- wine businesses and their families.
If you or someone you know needs help, contact the PIRSA Recovery team by phone (1800 931 314) or email, or call a mentor directly. The Riverland FaBS mentors are Robyn Cain (phone 0411 633 085) and Brent Fletcher (0439 409 430).
