There were smiles all round for Barry Porter and Helen Jones from Kolophon Capers with the news that their pickled Kolophon Caper Leaves had won a Gold medal at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show. Barry reported that from the approximately 300 entries only 21 gold medals were awarded in the Regional Food Competition, and as one chef they work with said, “they don’t give gold medals away”.
The gold medal adds to the silver and bronze medals they have received at previous Sydney Royal Fine Food Shows. Kolophon Capers supply a number of restaurants nationwide including: Fat Duck, Press Clubs, Stokehouse, Fino, Appellation, Southern Ocean Lodge, Byron at Byron, Simon Bryant and other top chefs.
