Wine companies will be able to learn more on growing their businesses through the Growing Wine Exports and Growing Wine Tourism programs which commence on October 2.
The programs are practical and wine-specific workshops and webinars with a key focus to help new and experienced wine exporters to benefit from Australia’s strong wine export growth and growing visitor economy.
Designed to help Australian wine businesses secure new commercial opportunities and grow wine exports and tourism, the programs are a key component of the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package, designed to complement Wine Australia’s targeted China- and USA-focused marketing campaigns and grant programs.
The programs are:
- Growing Wine Exports a practical, hands-on and wine-specific skills development program for new and experienced wine exporters looking to grow their exports in key markets. The program comprises one full-day Export Ready workshop (focused on developing your export strategy or giving it a ‘health-check’) and a two-day Export Plan workshop (focused on refining your export plan and targeting commercial or growth opportunities in-market). Workshops start on October 2, 2018.
- Growing Wine Tourism is for businesses wanting to take a more strategic approach to developing their wine tourism products and services. The program is made up of three phases. The first phase, ‘Understanding the visitor economy’, will be delivered through two pilot workshops and live, interactive webinars in each state. Activities start from October 9, 2018.
More information about both programs is available on the Wine Australia website.
