Here’s Cheers to the Clare Valley

Congratulations to the Clare Valley where the Clare Region Winegrape Growers Association and Clare Valley Winemakers Incorporated, who previously represented the separate groups of grape growers and winemakers, have united to form one strong representative body to be known as the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association.

The new association, to be headed up by Stuart McNab as chairman, will create stronger, unified and effective representation for the Clare Valley wine industry by fostering a much closer alliance and cooperation between growers and winemakers.

A key objective of the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association will be to develop and communicate the Clare Valley’s wine story with a sharp focus on the unique and diverse attributes of the region. Along with Riverland Wine, the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association has also secured funding from the Australian Government’s $50m Export and Regional Wine Support Program for a project aimed at strengthening regional tourism, with a particular focus on Chinese and US visitors.
