“The best course I’ve done in years!”

These were just two of the comments from growers who attended the ‘Managing Grapevine Nutrition’ workshop on Monday in Berri.
Andrew Weeks was very pleased with the turn-out. He said, “Twenty members made the time to take part and they all got a lot out of it. The interaction with AWRI’s Mardi Longbottom and Kerrie Degaris was excellent. The feedback to them after the session was really positive”.
Attendees received a comprehensive glossy manual compiled by Mardi and including contributions from Peter Dry and Marcel Essling, also from AWRI. The manual is an easy read, covering Principals of Nutrition, Key Grapevine Nutrients, Tools, Techniques and Resources. Andrew added, “It is often difficult to know what topics to offer growers in our extension program but this one seemed to hit the mark”.
Riverland Wine will negotiate a repeat of this same program in the future if there are enough members who want to understand and manage their nutrition regimes.
