The Murray-Darling Basin Authority will host meetings across South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales in early September. The update session will cover environmental watering, infrastructure programs, water trading, constraints management and other aspects of Basin Plan implementation and water reform progress. An afternoon panel session about environmental watering will also be held in Renmark and Mildura. Staff from the Commonwealth Environmental Water Office and the Commonwealth Department of the Environment will also attend to answer questions.
Meetings will be held at the following locations: Murray Bridge Council Chambers: Wednesday September 3, 1.30 – 4pm,
Murray Bridge Renmark Club: Thursday September 4, 10am – 12pm update session and 12.30 – 2.30pm panel session.
Quality Hotel Mildura Grand: Friday September 5, 10am – 12pm (update) and 12.30 – 2.30pm (panel). These meetings are in addition to the ongoing technical discussions the MDBA holds with various people throughout the year. Meetings with Northern
Basin communities have also been held recently to talk about Basin Plan progress.
