Riverland Wine congratulates young Waikerie winegrape grower, Paul Wurst, who has been chosen from a competitive field to undertake the 2014 Next Generation Leadership Training Program. Paul has been invited to join the third intake. The program, established and funded by Horticulture Australia Ltd (HAL) in 2012 is merit based. There are just 25 placements offered to young horticulturists from across the Australian Horticulture Industry.
Paul will join the other winners in two, two day workshop sessions, in Brisbane and Melbourne, in July and October.
The pace of change within the Horticulture industry is accelerating due to a variety of global and local factors. Strong leadership is critical to enable industry, businesses and individuals to adapt and change to meet the demands of these challenging times and to capitalise on the opportunities presented.
The program provides young leaders with the quality training, business tools and experienced support required to guide them towards their individual, business and industry growth objectives. Paul will receive: 4 full days of face-to-face leadership and business development training; networking and Best Practice sharing opportunities with fellow industry leaders; access to a wealth of web based support tools, webinars and training programs; and experienced one-to-one coaching support. Well done Paul.
