The annual general meetings for Riverland Winegrape Growers’ Association (RWGA) and Riverland Wine Industry Development Council (RWIDC) winegrowers and winemakers will be held on Monday, August 22.
The RWGA has eight grower representatives, four of whom will stand down at this year’s AGM at the expiry of their terms. Terms are for two years, and existing member may renominate and other are urged to become involved. Nominations for the committee member vacancies are now being accepted, and must be lodged with the association by 5pm, Monday, July 18.
Any Riverland winegrape grower, who has delivered winegrapes in the preceding 12 months, contributed to the Riverland Wine Industry Fund (RWIF) and not claimed a refund of that contribution is a member of RWGA and eligible to be nominated.
Nomination forms need to be signed by the proposer and two seconders, who must also be members of the RWGA, as well as by the nominee.
If more than four nominations for the vacancies are received, a ballot for election of members will be conducted by a postal vote that will be forwarded to all ordinary members.
