Advertisements calling for nominations of candidates to fill four vacant positions on the Riverland Winegrape Growers Association (RWGA) have been published in the three Riverland papers.
There are eight RWGA representatives on the management committee; terms are for two years. In accordance with the RWGA rules, half the committee positions are declared vacant each year. The four retiring members this year are: Henry Crawford, Peter Hill, Jack Papageorgiou and Jim Thomson.
All Riverland winegrowers who have: sold winegrapes in the past 12 months; contributed to the Riverland Wine Industry Fund (RWIF); and not claimed a refund of that contribution are members of RWGA and eligible to be nominated.
If you are interested in nominating, and would like more information please contact Chris Byrne at Riverland Wine 8584 6399 or email.
Nominations close on Monday, July 22. Further information is available on the Riverland Wine website. If more than four nominations are received then a ballot will be conducted.
