South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) is widely recognised by its members for its expertise in the difficult areas of industrial relations and business management.
People management is often one of the most challenging and stressful part of running a business or being a supervisor or manager. When you find yourself at a loose end with a difficult employee or situation, it is important to have some tools or tips from your ‘kit bag’ to sort it out. While the tools or implementation are not always going to be easy or quick, the outcome can still be rewarding and cost effective on several levels.
Employing staff whether directly or through a contractor can also be a minefield for small businesses as well as the very large.
SAWIA is conducting a seminar in the Riverland on June 17 with two sessions – Contractor and Labour Hire briefing from 10 to 11:30am; and Tips and Tools for Managing Employees from 12 to 3:30pm.
Cost per person for the first session is $99 for non-members with the second session $330 per person. SAWIA members will pay 50% for registration.
