On a rotational basis The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) runs seminars and workshops throughout Australia’s wine regions. The seminar team will visit the Riverland this year in May. The final date is yet to be set but the AWRI needs your help now to develop content for the program.
There are 76 topics to choose from but just 8 will be presented on the day by members of Institute staff. Download the list here or contact Kate (8584 5816) for a copy of the complete list of topics. Riverland Wine members have been invited to nominate 12 topics from the list for the presenters to consider. Depending on the topics chosen and speakers available on the day, a final list of 8 topics will be chosen. Also included in the seminar program for the day is an interactive session after lunch for attendees to raise any pertinent regional issues for discussion. There is no limit to how many Riverland growers and winemakers may attend.
The AWRI presents the seminar free of charge although it is funded by the GWRDC which is of course partly funded by Riverland growers and winemakers through the levy on tonnage grown and tonnages converted to wine. Riverland Wine will provide lunch on the day.
The important task right now is to help decide which topics are most likely to be of interest to members in this region. There are 76 listed. They are all interesting but scroll down to items 58 to 76 for the viticulture topics and let us know by email or phone (8584 5816) what you want to learn more about. Take five minutes to look at the list and have your say about what topics you think are most relevant.
