Young Horticulturalists’ BBQ

Are you a primary producer of the future – someone who will grow and export food, wine and fibre to the world? Would you like to meet up with other young people like you? If so, this is for you.

Riverland Wine is joining with GrowSmart in encouraging high school students who are interested in a career in horticulture or agriculture, and other young people already involved in the industry, to come along to a free BBQ and drinks to meet each other. This is a chance to get to know other young people with similar interests and talk about whether you’d like to meet on a regular basis.

The BBQ will be held on Monday July 9, from 5pm – 7pm at the Loxton Research Centre. As well as enjoying some social time, we will be asking people for their ideas about future events. How often would you like to meet? Are you interested in hearing from some guest speakers – or do you just want an opportunity to discuss your experiences and challenges? What times and places are good for meetings? And any other ideas you might have for similar events.

If you are under 30 and interested in attending, or know of other young people who might want to come, please contact Trevor Noble from GrowSmart phone 8584 5147 or email as soon as possible.
